St. Maarten Carnival (Netherlands Antilles) just had it’s kick-off last weekend. Main events are the Soca Explosion on Sunday, April 29 with Respeck Band, Maximus Dan and more. The Zouk/Kompas Fest features Carimi and more. The Grand Carnival Parade is held on April, 30th and May, 1st.

Black Alex, Michael Benjamin (Mika) mit Krezi, Nickenson Prud’Homme, Top Vice… alles Haitianer. Jeff Joseph ist von Grammacks (Dominica) die fand ich in den 70ern sehr geil. X-Plosion habe ich auch schon gesehen, das ist so Soca-Jump UP (St. Maarten).
