It’s finally there: the “official” Soca Warriors song, the soundtrack for the soccer team of Trinidad & Tobago. As mentioned earlier the song wasn’t produced by one of the countless talents of the country – no, it comes out of the UK. It is not really soca, it’s more a boring popsong with some 80s-soca flavour. But have a listen on your own on myspace. The decision to pick this tune make me wonder if we’ll see any up-to-date Soca artists in Germany this June.

I wish they would consign this awful song to the dumps. It’s like the cheesy nonsense that the English are accustomed to making.
Can we please stick with Maximus Dan’s song, Fighter? It epitomises what our Soca Warriors are about.
