this was a well written article i think u explain yourself well cause i myself would not right off the back by a cd full of song i dont or never heared i only by cd’s i know i am going to enjoy and trust i love soca music it is only kind of music i does buy i love soca so artist u have 2 wake up and realize u have to lose some to win some or u just make none

Well written article Mr. Weekes. I don’t think it could’ve been put any better. I too enjoy IMIX and I wouldn’t know alot of things or hear most of the current music without it. I never viewed IMIX as a pirating site at all, more of a site to communicate with other people who are interested in the same thing as I and to obtain the latest information on what’s happening on the soca scene.
Hopefully, “the powers that be” will take a good look at themselves and realize exactly what you said, we (the fans) are here to help not hinder the rise of soca music in this world!!

I live in Bermuda were soca is not taken very seriously I love the music and if it was not for sites like Island mix I would not know what was hot and what to but ,it makes it easy to order online or from local retailers who don’t have a clue sometimes about the music ,thanks to the sites I am an imformed buyer an I am sure there are a lot more listners and lovers of soca music like myself
