Trinidadian Road March Champion Shurwayne Winchester, who won the title the second time, was yesterday presented with the keys to his brand new Ford Focus car at a ceremony at McEnearney Motors, Richmond Street, Port of Spain.

BBC Caribbean on Dirty Jim’s, the Trinidadian version of Bueno Vista Social Club. Dirty Jim’s was a club in Port-of-Spain of the 50s. A documentation movie will be available soon. Featured artists are Mighty Sparrow, Calypso Rose, Bomber and more. The cd is already available and comes with a snippet dvd.

There have been rumours, but now it seems official. The next soca artist signs a record deal. KMC will release 4 albums on Ultra Records of New York. . Like Jamesy P.’s new label, Ultra Records is new to the soca industry and has released techno, house and trance so far.

Trojan Records announced a Soca Box in their Box series. A tracklist is not available yet, but we are curious since Soca never was a main focus for Trojan.
Nigel “Frame” Fabien has updated his tune “Time fuh Germany” to the situation of the Trinibagonian football team right now. A download is available on his site. The Remix was done in T&T by Daryl Braxton. Check also our old article.
